"The company currently expects to encounter severe conditions because two trends are developing simultaneously. One is the world recession and shrinking demand, and the other is the changes in market structure such as the expanding emerging markets and a demand shift to lower-priced products. Under these environments, the company will rebuild its management structure thoroughly, as well as make preparations for the next phase of development and growth simultaneously, aiming to be in a strong position when the market recovers." – Alan Cheslow

"Augmented Reality (AR) is when virtual graphics are overlayed onto real world imagery. It still seems a bit far fetched in 2009, yet there are apps that are beginning to make it a reality. One is Wikitude, an Android mobile app that mixes location imagery with information from Wikipedia. Essentially it allows users to overlay information from Wikipedia onto a photo of a certain location, via Mobile Google Maps." – Alan Cheslow

Gizmodo - Samsung Micro-Shutter Means Better Phone Cameras, Someday - Samsung cellphone shutter
"Minuscule sensors and crappy fixed lenses are only partly responsible for cellphone cameras taking such terrible photos; that they tend not to have proper shutters is a huge factor. In an effort to sidestep these concerns altogether, Samsung is developing a micro-shutter, built with 36 pieces of curled film that can be opened or close by applying or withdrawing an electrical charge. The concept is just 2.2mm wide and easily compact enough for use in cellphones." – Alan Cheslow
