"Microsoft has added Netflix accessibility directly in the Windows Media Center application, providing a Netflix section under the TV+Movies tab. This means that users are able to not only stream movies and TVs instantly through the application, but also manage both their instant and DVD queues, and search/filter searches through the entire Netflix library without having to open up a browser to access the site first. To further enhance the experience, these Netflix actions can also be controlled using any Windows Media Center-compatible remote control, allowing you to instantly watch movies without having to add them to your queue, and easily rewind and fast-forward during playback, thus transforming your personal PC into your own mini home entertainment system." – Alan Cheslow

"Samsung has announced that Twitter will soon be available on its Internet@TV service and usable on the company's LED 6000, 7000 and 8000 series televisions and 6 and 7 series LCD televisions.

As previously reported on Pocket-lint, Internet@TV taps into the Yahoo! widget engine for stock info, weather, news and other internet services, appearing as a scroll bar at the bottom of the screen and now it seems Twitter, which will allow users to tweet along to their favourite programmes as they watch them." – Alan Cheslow

Has anyone else noticed that the article on Samsung TV shows a photo of Toshiba? :)jcunwired

very kool design but the "autonomously alternating between white-on-black to black-on-white time displays each passing minute." is a deal breaker. i can see this becoming very annoying very quickly. – Carlos Ayala

Sharp's solar 936SH and 934SH with "memory LCD" headline latest SoftBank lineup
"The mirumo 934SH (pictured left) features a 3-inch external display that can display time, date, weather, news, and other information without consuming any power between changes; sounds like E-Ink, though Sharp describes it simply as a "memory LCD." You've also got an 8 megapixel camera, a waterproof shell, and a UV sensor that can help you determine just how quickly you need to slather on the SPF 30. Next up is the Solar Hybrid 936SH, a phone suspiciously similar in concept to the device Sharp is working on for SoftBank competitor KDDI au. Clearly the big draw here is the big solar array up front that'll give you one minute of call time or two hours of standby per 10 minutes of charging, but you've still got IPX7 water resistance, an 8 megapixel camera, and a full wide VGA display at your disposal." – Alan Cheslow
